Happy Thanksgiving!

We had fun this thanksgiving!  We have so much to be thankful for!  We have a wonderful family, home, job and great kids!  What more could you ask for!

We went down to Lindon and Provo just for the day and we were able to see tons of family and eat great food!  Thanks to everyone who housed us and fed us!  We love you!  Hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving!

Sydnee Turns 6 months!

So I'm so sorry Syd, but I skipped your 5 month birthday and went straight to 6 months.  But we still love you!  I hope that you can forgive me for my short comings.  (Blogging being one of them)

Sydnee has such a personality!  She is full of energy and always has to be moving.  She can grab a hold of things and she tries to bring them to her mouth.  If they are big enough they go straight in.  However, if they are small then she just forgets they are in her hand, but she will grasp them so tightly.  It's funny.  She LOVES graham crackers too!  If you try and take a graham cracker away from her while she is eating it she will flip out!   She can now sit up pretty well.  She still has a pillow behind her in case she falls.  She can roll over a lot now so I have to watch her.

Her stats for her six months:
Weight: 12 lbs 4.5oz  (3%)
Height:  25 1/2 inches (50%)
Head Measurement: 15 3/4 inches (3%)

She is a little tall and skinny girl!  We love her!  She is such a joy! :)

Happy Halloween!

We had a lot of fun this year even though it was freezing cold and raining on Halloween! Once Kyrah realized that she could get candy just by knocking on doors she was ALL FOR IT!  We tried to teach her how to say trick-or-treat but she would just knock on the door and then reach her hand into the little bucket full of candy and take some.  Oh well, hopefully next year she will get it.  :)  lol!  She loved it though!

Sydnee is 6 months old!

My poor child!  Sydnee is almost 7 months old and I have yet to blog about her 5 and 6 months.  I promise I will get to it soon!  Tonight!  :)  Stay tuned!

Sydnee's stats at 4 months old!

Here are Sydnee's stats at 4 months old.  Long overdue I know :)

Weight:  10 Lbs 13 oz (5th percentile)
Height:  25 inches (80th percentile)
Head Circumference:  15 1/4 inches  (5th percentile)

Sydnee is doing great!  Something fun about Sydnee is she has discovered her tongue.  She talks with it sticking out, she smiles with it sticking out, she plays with it in her mouth.  It's adorable :)  She is growing so fast!   I wouldn't be surprised if she starts scooting around soon :)

Sydnee eating rice cereal

Sydnee is now eating rice cereal!  I was impressed with how well she did!  She just sucked that stuff right off of her spoon!  She didn't really make a mess at all.  And she loved loved loved it.  If she had her way, she probably would have eaten the whole box!  Yay!  I can't believe that Syders is now four months old!  My kids are growing up way to fast!  STOP!  I love you!

PS-  Sydnee's 4 month post will be coming on Friday because that is when she get's her official check up.

Happy Birthday Kyrah!

Well, I can't believe another year has come and gone.  My little girl is now 2 years old today.  Her birth was a dream come true.  It took us longer than expected to get pregnant with our little one but she was definitely worth the wait!

Now that she is two she has become very independent and wants to do everything all by herself.  She wants to put on her shoes all by herself, even if they are on the wrong feet.  She insists on drinking out of a "big girl cup" even though half of the water ends up all down the front of her shirt instead of in her mouth. She is learning new words every day and it always surprising us with how smart she is.

She now has her own "big girl bed"!!  And she could not be more thrilled about it!  She loves it! She also sits in her own booster chair at the table with us too.  Crazy how things change so fast!

Kyrah has also shown herself to be an incredible big sister.  She always wants to be there to help her sister whenever she can.  If Syd is crying she comes to tell me "Sydnee, hungry!"  She also has to make sure that Sydnee always has her little Hippo Luvi Blanket to keep her company.  It is a must!  Kyrah also loves to read to her sister and lets her play with her toys.  Sometimes she thinks that she is old enough to pick her up all by herself, but I have to remind her that Syd is little and Kyrah needs help if she is going to pick her up.  Still...I love the adorable bond that these two girls have together.  Sydnee just loves when Kyrah comes around and is always smiling up at her and laughing.  Kyrah, you are a wonderful big sister!  Thanks for taking such good care of Sydnee.

We are also going to try and start potty training within the next week or so. Wish us luck!

She loves her new bed!

Today for Kyrah's birthday we woke up and made pancakes and then went to the park.  Kyrah LOVES the park!  The pictures were taken with my cell phone so they aren't great but at least they are a memory.  We'll do the presents and a party this weekend.  But today was still a fun day!  :)

Sydnee is now 3 months!

Ok, so now I am a little more caught up.  Sydnee is now 3 months old!  You know sometimes I feel like she has been with us forever.  It's a cool feeling!  I love her so much!  She is growing so fast and is learning new things everyday.

She laughed (a real laugh) for the first time on this past Saturday.  It was sooo cute!  My sister had the hiccups and every time she would hiccup Syd would start to laugh.  She thought it was so funny!  She laughed for a good 5 min.  It was adorable.  I broke out the video camera and then she stopped laughing.  (Go figure!)  At least she was still smiling though.

Also, she has learned how to roll over from her back to her side.

She loves her little hippo Luvi Blanket.  She likes to suck on it's ears.

She will not take a binkie...which is kinda frustrating.  But she likes to suck on her thumb or fist.  I have a feeling we will have a thumb sucker on our hands.

She talks and talks all the time.  She has discovered her voice and is not afraid to use it!  She will let me know when something is wrong or when something is right too!  She especially loves when Kyrah comes up to her and starts talking to her.  She just coos and talks like crazy and Kyrah will laugh and then Sydnee will laugh.  They are starting to form the cutest bond.  I love it!

She will lay on the floor for long periods of time just looking up at the ceiling and cooing (and looking at the fan probably, she likes the shadows.)

We got her ears pierced for her 3 month (birthday).  (We did the same for Kyrah when she turned 3 months too!)  Gotta love having little girls! :)

Sydnee at 2 months

So I know that Sydnee is now 3 months old, but, I wanted to at least tell you her stats at her 2 month apt. (We've been really busy and on vacation so that is why I am slow at getting this up.)  So here they are:

Height:  21 3/4 inches long  (25th percentile)
Weight:  8lbs 15 oz (10th percentile)
Head Circumference:  14 1/3 inches (3rd percentile)

She smiles more and more.  She recognizes that she has a tongue and likes to play with it in her mouth, stick it out and go cross eyed looking at it.  lol!  :)

Recent Happenings...movie style :)

Simple...

Sydnee is 1 month! (well...a month and a half actually)

I am way behind I know.  I feel bad for Sydnee because with Kyrah I was so on top of things but now with two I just am having a harder time finding time to get to the blog.  I still love you Syd-ers! :)

1 month stats:
7 lbs 11oz  (but as of Monday she weighed 8lbs 3 oz.  She is gaining weight fast!)
21.5 inches long

Sydnee is growing so fast!  She LOVES to eat.  She is going to pass Kyrah up in weight pretty soon here.  I make her be on a schedule of eating every 3 hours, but if she had her way she would eat every hour.  She is definitely showing her personality now too.  She is a very good baby except when it is time to go to bed.  She doesn't like to go bed.  lol!  She cries and cries.  I used to think there was something wrong.  But after about 3 weeks of her crying before  bed I just gave up.  I make sure she has her diaper changed and she is fed and burped and all of that good stuff.  Then I just put her down and she will cry from about 10 min to 25 min and then she will fall asleep.  I know some moms out there may think that I am horrible mom because I let my baby cry for that long, but it's the only way that she and I get sleep.  So it works for me.  :)

I forgot about the "cooing" stage  too!  Sydnee is getting into that now.  It is so cute!  I will just lay her on her back and she will just stare and the ceiling fan, Kyrah, me or her daddy and just coo.  I love it!  She occasionally will smile too, but I think it might just be gas for now.  I'd like to think that she recognizes us though.

Since Sydnee is almost 2 months now, I will be posting again with her stats in about 2 weeks.

Recent Happenings...

So funny story.  Kyrah was having yogurt for lunch and she loves to have it in a little cup with a spoon.  (which she calls a "fork".  Lol!)  Well, I need to go start a load of laundry.  So I left her quietly eating her yorgurt our of her cup.  Well when I come back she has the yourt all over, up to her shoulders and she is spreading it around.  I look at her and say: "Kyrah!  What are you doing?"  She looks back at me and holds her hand up and says:  "Lotion, mommy!" 

I just lost it!  I was laughing so hard.  I started cleaning her up until I realized I didn't take a picture of it.  I wish I would have.  Oh well, it was still so funny!  :)

Kyrah is such a big helper with Sydnee.  She always brings me a diaper and wipes and she loves to give Sydnee kisses.  She has tried about 4 times now to pick her up which gives me a heart attack every time.  Sydnee has to be on the table out of little hands reach for now.  It's kinda sad, but that way I don't have to constantly be making sure Kyrah doesn't get to curious and jumps on her or something. 

But once Sydnee gets a bit older then I am sure that they are going to be the best of friends.  I love having two little girls!  It's so fun!  (Stressful at times, but great!)

Marathoner RYAN!

I am so proud of Ryan!  He and his buddies Arthur and Taylor all ran the Teton Dam Marathon this last Saturday in Idaho.  He ran 26.2 miles!  WOW!  What an amazing accomplishment honey!  Your three girls love you!  You are our hero!  Congrats sweetheart!

At the hotel we were able to go swimming together!  Kyrah LOVED the water.  It was cold, but she wouldn't say she was cold because she didn't want to get out.  Lol!  It was cute!
